I am interested in a watch not shown in your online store what can I do?
With many new and second hand watches becoming increasingly difficult to locate we would advise you to complete our Watch Finder form and we will endeavour to find it for you. Please remember to give us as much detail as you can, including the model number as this will help speed up the process. Please also note that with many watches we may sometimes offer attractive discounts from the High Street prices.

How long will it take you to find the watch I am looking for?
I'm afraid we can never offer an exact time scale when looking for second hand watches. This is because we rely on advertising, part exchanges and our reputation to maintain our stock levels. What we can guarantee is that we will do our best to locate the watch for you in the minimum time and will not stop searching until you let us know otherwise. With new watches we will normally be able to provide a delivery date.

Can I part exchange a watch I already have?
Yes. Providing it is a brand we deal in and the condition is at worst fair, we will gladly take any part exchanges. This can be done by completing our Selling form. We do not take in poor condition watches as all our watches come with a one year guarantee and this is not always possible when a watch has not been properly taken care of.

Why is it more expensive to buy online with a credit card than a bank transfer?
Unfortunately, this is due to the fact that our payment service providers, Lloyds TSB Cardnet and Secure Trading each take a percentage of the transaction value. However, you do have other forms of payment methods you can use, see Payment Options.

What guarantee do I have you will send me the watch when I have paid?
Although this is a new site we are not a new company. Second Time Round is a UK Limited company, which can be easily checked at www.companieshouse.gov.uk We are registered as Jadefare Ltd. Our business bank account is with Lloyds TSB, Trading as Second Time Round. We keep records of all correspondence between the two parties should you need them and if asked we will gladly e-mail you our exact intentions and what you may expect from us prior to the shipment or payment of watches. We are a family run business that prides itself on its excellent reputation. You can also view our Customer Testimonials to help ease any uncertainty.

What if I change my mind after a few days and decide that I don't like the watch?
Providing the watch is returned within five days with the Second Time Round security strip still in place, and is in exactly the same merchantable condition as it was when supplied, we will gladly refund you, less our postage and packaging/ shipping charges. Unfortunately, once the watch has been worn you automatically wave the right to a full refund and will be liable for a variable restocking fee (depending on the value of the watch). So please be certain this is the watch you want before wearing and enjoying it. See our Returns policy for full details.

Can I claim any VAT back?
In most cases I am afraid not! As we deal mainly in pre-owned watches the VAT has already been paid when the watch was originally purchased. Therefore the price you see does not reflect VAT. We occasionally source new models and VAT may be able to be claimed on these, but we suggest that when you are interested in a particular model you can ask one of our sales team for more information.

Can you adjust the bracelet to fit my wrist?
Yes. When you place an order you will need to let us know your wrist measurement so we can adjust the bracelet for a perfect fit. To do this all you need to do is visit our Watch Sizing page where you can print and cut out the ruler provided. Then wrap it around your wrist to the required length, e-mail us and we will do the rest! Please note that when your watch is delivered you will receive any extra links that have been removed.

When will my watch first need servicing?
As most of our watches are second hand we always guarantee them for a period of one year. (please note that some vintage watches are exempt from this). It is unlikely that in this time we would need to service your watch. Generally, we would recommend that if your watch is running fine without any complications, you should service your watch every two years. New watches are usually recommended to be serviced after three years of use.

How long will my watch be waterproof for?
As the rubber seals in watches are perishable we would always recommend having the water tightness of your watch checked and maintained once every year.

breitling watches Will you pass my details onto any third party companies?

built strongly on customer loyalty, trust and confidence. You will receive no Spam (Junk Mail), third party letters or telephone calls as a result of giving us your contact details.

rolex watches Where can I insure my watch?
We would suggest placing your watch on your "Home Contents Insurance". A watch costing around £2000 will
add a premium of roughly £40 annually, to your policy.

swiss watches My insurance has asked for a Valuation Certificate, can you supply this?
Because of this, all our watches are sent out with an Insurance Valuation. This will detail a description of the watch, noting the model and serial numbers and the current new replacement price. If your policy is not "New for Old" it is unlikely that you will need the valuation, so the receipt detailing the same information should do.
